Two by Jim Cartwright

Directed by Sophia Becic & Neil Knipe

Our first tour saw us travel to varying different venues and play to varying different audiences. From a thirty six seat arts cafe to the beauty and prestige of The Wakefield Theatre Royal. From silent yet appreciative OAP's to warm and friendly second curtain calls.

Two is quite an unassuming script at first glance but the reactions we received from audiences were overwhelming to say the least. It's a show that people seem to connect to, characters everyone recognises. It's fast pace, short run time and mix of high drama with silly comedy kept the audience immersed and engaged.

Praise for the performances was universal and led to a buzz for the show on social media and festival awards - in particular the Wakefield Drama Festival where we were both honoured and lucky enough to receive the top five awards, including best show from both the adjudicator and audience.

The show refused to die and we performed some one off extra performances at the request of other venues and schools.  We even performed a short extract from the show at Wakefield Theatre Royal's Charity Gala performance in front of John Godber and Jim Cartwright himself.
