Our first bit of "proper" drama. A sombre look at the devastating impact World War I had on local communities told from the view of the women who were left behind - many permanently.

A beautiful show to stage with its turn of the century props and truly authentic uniforms.  A huge responsibility of a play to get right too, to find the honesty, truth and raw emotion of.

A technical challenge at times, I'm not sure if we always got it right. Clunky video footage and perhaps we bungled the impact of the soldiers final stand but we more than made up with some amazing central performances that left not a dry eye in the house. It was a sell out show leading to numerous requests of extra performances.
